Fixes for the most common problems, and how to reach a person if you need one.

My steps aren't showing

Evochi can only count steps it has permission to read. Check the permission, then sync.

iPhone

  1. Open the Health app and tap your profile picture.
  2. Under Privacy, tap Apps → Evochi.
  3. Turn on Steps.
  4. Open Evochi, go to Journey and tap Sync.

Android

  1. Open Health Connect. On Android 14 and later it's in Settings → Security & privacy → Privacy controls; on earlier versions it's an app. Menu names can vary a little by phone maker.
  2. Tap App permissions → Evochi.
  3. Allow Steps.
  4. Open Evochi, go to Journey and tap Sync.

Steps from a watch can take a while to reach your phone. Until they do, the day shows as pending, and it won't count against your Evochi. If steps for a past day arrive later, Evochi recalculates that day.

My Evochi looks sick

Vitality goes down after low-step days, but only once your two weekly rest days are used and a 48-hour grace period has passed. To help it recover:

  • Reach half your step goal for +8 vitality, or your full goal for +14.
  • Feed it a Healing Herb for +10 vitality, up to once every 12 hours. Herbs cost 80 EvoCoins in the Evochi Market.

If vitality reaches zero, your Evochi rests in the Hall of Memories. You can revive it with three Healing Herbs or by reaching your step goal for a day, or hatch a new egg. Your items are never lost.

I can't evolve yet

Evolving needs both a level and a number of active days. An active day is one where you reach at least half your step goal.

  • Eggling to Juvenile: level 10 and 7 active days.
  • Juvenile to Elder: level 25 and 21 active days.

The EvoDex shows how close you are. When both are met, an Evolve button appears on Home, and you choose when to press it.

Moving to a new phone

If you play with an Apple, Google or email account, sign in with the same account on your new phone and your Evochi comes with you. Guest progress is stored only on the phone you play on, so play with an account if you want to keep your Evochi when you switch phones.

My day resets at the wrong time

Your day follows your account time zone, not wherever you are right now. You can change it in Settings → Account time zone.

Coins or items look wrong

Every coin reward and purchase is recorded once, with its own ID, so a slow connection can't charge or pay you twice. If something still looks wrong, contact us with roughly when it happened and what you expected to see.

Reminders

Reminders are off until you turn them on in Settings. Evochi sends at most one a day, never during your quiet hours, and turning them off never costs you rewards or progress.

Contact us

Email us and a person will reply, usually within [2 business days]. It helps to include your phone model, the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and what happened.
